شاي عدني ـ عربي

Adani Chai is very popular in Yemen. It is served in the morning and in the afternoon. You also can buy it from any coffee shop or restaurant. It is so easy to make and so delicious. Adani Chai is made from red tea, milk, ginger, cloves and cardamom which helps your digestive system.


  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tbsp loose tea (or 3 tea bags)
  • 3 cloves (whole)
  • 1/2 tsp powdered cardamom, or five pods, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp powdered ginger
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened evaporated milk


  1. Boil water in a tea kettle. (if a tea kettle is not available, you can use a pot to make the tea)
  2. Add tea, cloves, cardamom, sugar, and ginger. Let it boil on medium heat until dark red in color.
  3. Add milk.
  4. Let it boil a few minutes more. Then remove from heat and serve.


  • You need to watch the tea after adding the milk because it can easily boil over and spill out of the pot.
  • You can use a small strainer when pouring Adani chai into the tea cups so you don’t get and cloves in your cup.
