This is my first time making granola bar. I searched the internet looking for a good and easy recipe but I I didn’t have all the ingredients. So I decided to make granola bar with the ingredients I have in my kitchen. I worked very well as a first time try, so soft and crunchy at the same time.

  • 2 cups of unsalted nuts (almonds, pecan, pistachio and cashews)
  • ½ cup flax seeds
  • ½ cup sun dried cranberries
  • 1 cup oat meal
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter


  1. Put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Spread flax seeds and the nuts on the baking sheet and bake in the oven for 6 minutes only.
  2. Use the food processor or a knife to chop the nuts.
  3. Combine honey brown sugar, peanut butter and butter in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat for 3 minute (stir continuously) until everything is mixed well.
  4. Combine oat meal, cranberry and nuts in a bowl. Drizzle the sugar sauce and mix well until everything is coated with the sauce.
  5. Put parchment paper in a rectangular or square baking dish. Pour the mixture and press on it gently until the mixture is in a uniform layer.
  6. Let it cool for one hour then cut it into small squares or bars.
