I got a new Pizza Stone and I wanted to use it to make Khobz “Bita bread” in the oven. It works perfectly and the bread came soft and puffed. I used wheat flour and white, but you can use all wheat or all white flour. You also can adjust the size of the bread. I like to bake a big number of Khoz, divide them in bags and freeze them for up to a month.


In the photo bellow is the pizza stone. I it really good for baking bread or Pizza. you can use it in the oven or on the grill.



  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. Yeast
  • ½ tbsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. powdered milk
  • 3 tbsp. Mazola oil
  • 1 cup water


  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add water and oil. Knead well until soft dough is formed.
  3. Cover and let the dough rest in dry warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Cut the dough in 4 balls, cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Put Pizza stone in the oven on lower rack. Heat oven 450 degrees.
  6. Flatten one of the balls by hands to form a flat round dough ½ inch thick.
  7. Put the flatten dough on a wood pizza peel to transform it to the heated Pizza stone in the oven.
  8. Bake for 5- 10 minutes. It will puff and that is good. Broil on high until top is light brown. Repeat with the rest of the dough one by one.
