Toffee Cake with Coconut (كيكة التوفي بجوز الهند)

كيكة التوفي بجوز الهند ـ عربي

This a simple toffee cake made with coconut and milk.




  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup Desiccated coconut (optional)
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • Toffee
  • ½ cup Flaked coconut


  1. In a bowl, combine eggs, baking powder, desiccated coconut, water and vanilla. Mix well with cake mixture.
  2. Put milk in a non-stick pot, roast powdered milk on medium heat until golden brown. (Stir continuously so the milk don’t burn at the
  3. bottom of the pot).
  4. Add Roasted milk to the liquid mixture and mix well.
  5. Brush a 8×8 pan or any round pan with butter or oil.
  6. Pour the mix in the pan and cook it in 350 degree oven for 25-35 minutes or until golden brown. Then let it cool at room temperature.
  7. Spread the flaked coconut on a baking sheet and roasted in the oven for couple of minutes stir from time to time until coconut is golden brown.
  8. Pour toffee on top of the cake then spread the roasted coconut on the toffee.
  9. You can keep it in the fridge or serve it at room temperature.
